Newton's Second Law of Motion states that the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force acting upon it and inversely proportional to its mass:

In this game, the thrust force is the same for every spacecraft, but the mass increases each round. Heavier spacecraft accelerate less for the same thrust, so you must manage thrust and horizontal motion to travel safely without crashing into the Moon’s surface.
